Sylvia Buzzard

Jay - Sylvia Ella (Cunningham) Buzzard, 73 year old resident of Jay Oklahoma died on Monday, June 4, 2007 at her home. Sylvia was born September 25, 1933 in Delaware County near Jay, Oklahoma to William Ray and Cora Belle (Williams) Cunningham. Sylvia married Levi Buzzard on April 4, 1952 in Bentonville Arkansas. Sylvia was a homemaker most of her life. She loved her birds and gardening, but most of all she loved her family and all of her grandchildren. She very much enjoyed cooking and making sure everybody was fed. The family includes; husband Levi of the home, her children, Luther Buzzard and wife Beverly, Glenda Gibe and her husband David, Randy Buzzard all of Jay Oklahoma, Sheila Sturges and her husband Kevin of Topsy Oklahoma, one sister Beula Chewey and her husband Frank of Jay, one brother Kenneth Cunningham and wife Jeanie of Seligman, Missouri, twelve grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, and numerous other friend and relatives that all called her grandma. Preceding her in death were her parents, six brothers, Buck, Leroy, J.D., Dude, Eugene and Alvie Cunningham and one sister Dean Cox. The family will receive friends and family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday evening, June 7, 2007 at the Worley - Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 8 at the Jay Assembly of God church with Brother Carl Page officiating. Casket bearers will be Luther Buzzard, James Gibe, Matthew Buzzard, Toby Buzzard, Clint Gibe and Tyler Buzzard. Interment will follow at the Yellow Tree Cemetery.
