Tammy Collier

Tammy Lynn (Parrett) Collier, 53, of Nowata, OK passed away on Monday, December 30, 2013, at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. She was born to Jim and Pat (Gooch) Parrett. Tammy was born on May 25, 1960, in Borger, TX and graduated from Nowata High School in 1978. She worked as a boilermaker/welder and belonged to the Boilermakers Local 132 Union. Tammy enjoyed playing basketball and softball as a young woman. Tammy is survived by two sons Laramy Dwayne Farris and Jeremiah James Farris; two brothers, Timothy Parrett of Nowata and Steven Parrett of Nowata; one sister, Robin (Parrett) Briggs and brother-in-law Richard Briggs of Texas City, TX and several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and great nephews. She is also survived by her maternal grandmothers Mary Hilary and Frankie Gooch. Funeral services for Ms. Collier will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the Benjamin Funeral Service Chapel. There will be a gathering for family and friends in the West room at the Nowata Library to follow.
