Benjamin Funeral Service - Nowata, OK Teddy "Ted" Leon Woolman, 89, of Nowata, passed away May 30, 2016, at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa. He was born February 10, 1927 in Alluwe, Oklahoma, to Alvin and Dottie (Fink) Woolman. He was educated in Nowata County and on November 27, 1947 Ted married the love of his life, Loella "Lody" Farrar, in Nowata. Ted was a home builder and loved tinkering, remodeling homes, and carpentry work. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Ted had a special place in his heart for his family, which was shown so unmistakably by his devotion to Lody, his wife of 62 years, especially as her life was coming to an end in 2009. Ted was a very good man that will be missed by all who knew him. Preceding Ted Woolman in death are his parents, Alvin and Dottie Woolman; his wife, Lody Woolman; siblings, Lois Mae Mullis, Fred Woolman, Annabelle Bellamy, Tommy Woolman, Billy Joe Nichols; and one grandson John Theodore "Teddy" Woolman. Survivors include sons John Woolman and his wife Karen, of Tulsa; Denny Woolman and his wife Regina, of Nowata; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Betty Worthington, Deena Marie Livingston, Sandy Zaccarello, Shari Snyder, Roy Alvin Woolman Jr.; many other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services for Ted will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the First Church of God, Nowata, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations to the First Church of God, 408 S. Pine, Nowata, Oklahoma. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com.
