Teresa Deck

ARNOLD MOORE & NEEKAMP FUNERAL HOME, BARTLESVILLE, OK - Teresa Marie Deck, 83, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at her home. Teresa was born October 12, 1932 at Ft. Smith, Arkansas to Tony Stermetz and Theresa (Bovera) Stermetz. She grew up in Ft. Smith, first attending Conception School and later, graduating from St. Anne's in 1950. Teresa came to Bartlesville in 1954 and worked in the Trust Department of First National Bank, until she met and married Harold Roy Deck on April 6, 1973 at Bartlesville. The couple lived in Brussels, Belgium; Michigan and Texas before coming back to Bartlesville. Teresa spent her married years as a homemaker and a member of St. John Before the Latin Gate Catholic Church and the Hillcrest Country Club. She was especially fond of her poodles. Survivors include two children, William A. "Bill" Alred and Debbie L. Alred, both of Bartlesville; two step-children, Andy Deck and his wife, Becky of Midland, Texas and Susan Deck of Bartlesville; two sisters, Edith Dennis of Ft. Smith, Arkansas and Juanita Wallace of Florida; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold Deck on April 13, 2007; by a daughter, Toni L. Webster and by a brother, Tony Stermetz.
