Theodore Robertson

Theodore "Ted" Lane Robertson, Grove resident, died Thursday morning November 7, 2013 after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 69 years. Ted was born on March 3, 1944 in Gary, IN to Theodore C. and Lois Rachel (Harris) Robertson. Ted graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelors Degree in Education in 1965. While at college, Ted met the love of his life, Phyllis Chong. They celebrated 47 years of marriage this year. Ted had an entrepreneurial spirit holding many jobs over the years. He worked as a bus driver, a teacher, ran a movie theater, owned a gift store, worked as a Mortgage Banker/Venture Capitalist and finally was a Rancher (his passion). He also served his country as an officer in the United States Army. He was fiercely patriotic, was an avid reader, a collector, a writer, researcher, and a dreamer. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Dale Robertson. Ted leaves many loving memories with his family, wife, Phyllis; daughter, Ella and her husband, Tom; three sisters, Kay Hady, June Ligocki, and Sue Bires. Private Family services will be held.
