Tommy "Tom" Clarence Harrison, 83, passed away on Friday July 19, 2019. Tom was born September 28, 1935 in Vinita, OK to Henry Clarence and Bessie Jane (Graham) Harrison. He grew up and attended school in Vinita. Tom spent 3 years in the Army National Guard where he held the rank of Sargent. Tom enjoyed cooking for the guys in his unit. Tom married Clara Jean Rex on June 29, 1974. He spent nearly 50 years as a meat cutter, he was well known by the local community. Tom was a loving father and would often travel hours at a time to watch his daughter participate in her favorite sports.
Throughout his life, Tom loved taking care of his animals and tending the garden on his "poor farm," which he often referred to as the "Hillbilly Ranch." He enjoyed going to the Afton Poultry Swap, fishing, collecting baseball cards, collecting coins, and watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball.
Toms parents and a sister Beck Emmanuel preceded him in death.
Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years Clara, of the home; daughter, Tina G. Harrison Lacey and husband Mike of Bella Vista, AR; step-grand daughter, Rylie Lacey of Katy, TX; sister, Doris Osburn of Fortuna, CA; brother, John Harrison and wife Norene of Vinita, OK, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
A visitation will be held Thursday, July 25, 2019 from 6 to 8:00 pm in the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be Friday, July 26, 2019 at 11:00 am in the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel. Tom will be laid to rest in the Fairview Cemetery, Vinita, OK.
