Thomas L. Barnes, Jr. "Hulk" "Chief", 38, of Grove, Oklahoma died at OSU Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma on February 21, 2008. He was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on September 6, 1969 to Thomas Lee Barnes, Sr. and Patricia G. Masters. He attended Grove High School and enjoyed music , Sooner and Grove Football, spending time with his children and his family. Thomas was a wonderful musician and songwriter who loved playing his guitar and entertaining people either on stage or one to one at home. He was extremely proud of how wonderful his children are and how well they turned out. He was also very proud of the Grove High School football team. He is survived by his wife Melissa of the home, children Karissa and Mathew, Father Thomas Barnes, Sr. and wife Teresa, Mother C.L. and Patricia McClendon, sisters: Celena Shrout of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Regina Burks and husband Matt of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Peggy McClendon of Stigler, Oklahoma, C. Layne Barnes of Grove, Oklahoma, Tamika Lynn Barnes of Grove, Oklahoma, brother Cody McClendon and wife Andrea of Stigler, Oklahoma and numerous family members and many, many friends. He is preceded in death by two nieces: Patricia and Randi McClendon of Tahlequah. Funeral services for Thomas L. Barnes, Jr. "Hulk" "Chief" will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at 2:00 p.m.at the Grove Civic Center in Grove, Oklahoma, celebrating the love, laughter and inspiration that he brought to the lives of everyone he met. Visitation will be held from noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Civic Center. Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home of Grove, Oklahoma is in charge of arrangements.
