Travis Starks

Travis Alan Starks, age 18 of Bernice, died Tuesday, November 2, 2010. Travis was born in Vinita on November 21, 1991, the son of Terry and Sherry (Crane) Starks. He was a senior at Afton High School where he was active in the FFA, Art Club, FCCLA, and Science Club. He also enjoyed basketball, wrestling, computers, and video games. He attended youth group at Christ Church in Afton. Survivors include his mother, Sherry Starks of Bernice, sister Kristy Monroe and husband Bryan of Midwest City, OK, brother Andy Starks of Oklahoma City, grandmother Judy Crane of Inola, niece Emily Monroe and nephew Tate Monroe of Midwest City, OK. He is preceded in death by his father Terry Starks, and grandparents Elmer Crane, and Harold and Madge Starks. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 5, 2010 at the Afton School Gymnasium. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Vinita.
