Virginia Fox

Virginia R. "Gini" Fox, age 77, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2014, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Gini was born on September 13, 1936 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Lewis Cowan and Rosa (Oaks) Cowan. She was a life-long resident of Bartlesville where she received her education and was a graduate of Bartlesville high school. Gini was a retired Phillips Petroleum legal secretary. On February 14, 1966, Gini and Paul Fox were united in marriage. She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church, Bartlesville; and the Moose Lodge. She enjoyed spending time with family. Quilting was one of her hobbies and something she especially enjoyed, as well as collecting Hummel figurines. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. She is survived by her husband, Paul Fox, of the family home; son, Rene Sawyer and his wife, Terri, of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Paula Kelley of Bartlesville; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Fern Cowan; brother, Walter Cowan; daughter, Roseanna Louise Cranor; and niece, Kay Anderson. Open visitation will be on Tuesday, from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home, 710 S. Dewey Ave., Bartlesville. Graveside services will be held July 9 at 2:00 PM in Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville. Rev. Tom Cox will officiate.
