Walter Brady

Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Grove, Oklahoma (918) 786-2261 - Dewey Brady left his earthly home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on January 7, 2015. Dewey was born on July 2, 1925, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, to Vera Milli (Blythe) Brady and George Dewey Brady. He lived his life and went to school in Ardmore. At the age of 16, he ran away from home and joined the navy, but his dad caught the bus and as he said, "unjoined him from the navy." As soon as he turned 17, Dewey rejoined the navy and spent 4 years active duty on board his ship, the USS Langley Aircraft Carrier. BJ called her the other women in his life. He earned 9 battle stars while serving. After his discharge and while attending college, at Murray State and OSU, he met his lifetime lover and buddy, Barbara June Carter of Wilson, Oklahoma. To that union, God gave them four sons, Robert Dewey Brady of Grand Prairie, Texas, Chris Carter Brady of Oak Harbor, Washington, twins Bret Vance Brady and Bart Lance Brady of the Atlanta, Georgia, Locust Grove, and Rex, Georgia. God gave them many more blessings with 9 grandchildren, Page, Brennon and Lee of Dallas and Wichita Falls, Texas; Scott, Tommy, and Megan of Oak Harbor, Washington; Dakota of Grandview, Missouri; Chase and Shane of Georgia; and 9 great grandchildren, Issac, Ethan, Owen, Asia, Sheyenne, Ayden, Teagan, Abraham, Aubrey Jane. Dewey's love always was the water- scuba diving, sailing, on the Tranquilo (his sailboat), swimming and fishing. Funeral services for Dewey will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2015, at the First Christian Church in Grove, Oklahoma.
