Willa Smith

Willa Dean Smith, age 89, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Dean was born on October 31, 1932, in Afton, Oklahoma.  She was the loving daughter of Oliver and Golda Inez (Blankenship) Todd.  She was united in marriage to Marvin “Mike” Smith on July 24, 1949 in Afton, Oklahoma.  Dean enjoyed life and was delightful to be around.  She loved to dance, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking, and made the best peach pies.  She spent her lifetime in the church until the last few years because of declining health.  She was in an Ukulele Group in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Dean was preceded in death by her parent, her husband, and her brother John Todd.  She is survived by her two children, Michael “Mike” Smith and his wife Sheri of Hot Springs, AR, and Anita Moses of Tulsa, OK.  She was blessed with three grandchildren; Megann Smith, Nick Smith and Emily Culpepper, and four great grandchildren; Winston, Docia, Parker and Forrest.

Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 4, 2021, at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Afton, Oklahoma with Pastor Roger Miller officiating. Services are entrusted to Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma.
