Winona Steely

Winona Pat Steely, 64 year old Jay, Oklahoma resident passed away Saturday October 30, 2010 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, after an extended illness. Winona was born on October 30, 1946 in Jay, Oklahoma to Markus and Eunice (Payton) Large. Because of her father's military duties, Winona moved around a lot as a child but after finishing school she returned to Jay. Winona was an excellent cook who enjoyed taking request from family member and would cook anything from cinnamon rolls to cabbage rolls. She enjoyed going to the casino, and was an avid movie fan. Winona is survived by two sons, Donald Lawson of Henryetta, Oklahoma and Bill Lawson, of Oolagah, Oklahoma, and a daughter, Debbie Cobb of Claremore, Oklahoma, a sister Lucy Farmer of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Two Brothers Ray Large of Claremore, Oklahoma, and Rick Large of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Winona is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at the Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, Oklahoma, The Rev. Scotty Titsworth will officiate. Burial will be at Duffield Cemetery in Jay, Oklahoma.
